What do space, pirates, Pokémon, textures, weather, and ice all have in common? They are the current interests of the children here at Days. Through observation we determine your children's interests and develop our lesson plans following their lead. For example, toddlers have noticed the rain and storms! They have played in water, and made rain clouds with rain drops, all while working on pouring, and fine motor skills. Down the hall I have pre-K reading stories about space and kid's imaginations are running wild while they pretend to be astronauts in home living. Pre-K+ is treasure hunting letters and building simple words. All these activities have one common goal. They build your child's confidence and help them grow. I can't wait to see what they discover next week.
